WHAT HAPPENS IN COUNSELLING

What happens?
Step 1: Enquiry
Usually either yourself, a parent or caregiver will contact me to find out more.

Step 2: Phone call
We will have a short conversation on the phone and arrange an initial assessment for you and I to meet on Zoom.

Step 3: Initial assessment
This is where we can have a chat about the things that you are finding difficult to manage, are worried about or the reason you are seeking counselling. This will give you an opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. I will gather some information and talk you through how I work and explain confidentiality and paperwork. Together we can decide if you think I am the right counsellor for you.

Step 4: Counselling
If you choose to go ahead with counselling then we will agree a time on the same day each week. We will meet on Zoom and our sessions will last for 45 minutes. This can be open ended which means there is no fixed finish date or we can agree a certain amount of sessions. The choice is yours.
